Initially making a name for himself as a Grime MC he was a staple on London’s radio circuit in 2014 and 2015, appearing regularly on Rinse FM, Radar Radio, NTS, Mode FM and BBC 1xtra alongside the likes of established DJs like Slimzee, Spooky, Sian Anderson and Sir Spyro and more.
As well as being an MC, Jammz also has a strong reputation as a producer and label owner, with his label I Am Grime becoming recognised as a hub for some of the genres freshest sounds and merchandise.
His live resume, is extensive, & includes performances at events such as Glastonbury, Eskimo Dance, Outlook Festival, Night Slugs and Bestival. As well as this he’s headlined FWD>> and in 2016 was the support act on Kano’s UK tour. To date, Jammz has been booked in more than 12 countries around the world, including independently organised tours in Brazil, Australia, and more.
As well as this, Jammz has also began to forge a lane for himself in the world of theatre. In 2018 he contributed to and starred in the critically acclaimed Poet In Da Corner, which received 4 and 5 star reviews from the Guardian, and more. Since this, he has gone on to compose and musically direct for two plays at The Big House Theatre, both of which received highly positive press and reviews.
As well as being supported heavily by Fader, Noisey, FACT, GQ, Mixmag, SBTV, MTV and more, he has also featured on the front cover of the Observer Music’s British MCs special (2015).Releases include, the acclaimed Underdog Season Vol. 1 mixtape (with Jack Dat), a self- released instrumental 12” (sold out in four days) and his Warrior EP series. Summer. 2017 saw the release of the DJ Q produced smash, “Who’s that girl?” Featuring Aleisha Lee, which received constant airplay across all mainstream stations including BBC Radio 1Xtra, Rinse FM and more’ also making The Faders “9 Grime Anthems You Need This Summer” list.
